Kites

"Go fly a kite" will take on new meaning if you visit this Disneyland of kiting on the Washington coast.

Rotating exhibitions explore topics like the "Golden Age of Kites" (pre-1950s kites and memorabilia from the United States and Europe) and "The Dragon's Den" (Chinese kite folk art) and explain the roles kites have played in science, art, religion, and sports. Two of the most famous kite enthusiasts were the Wright brothers, those daring siblings who built and flew a biplane glider kite to study the science of flight.
